This project in Greenacre involved a concrete slab with a particularly wide and long crack running through it. Instead of standard patching or costly demolition, we studied the slab behavior and applied a dedicated repair method.
Using a concrete cutter, two parallel cuts were made along the sides of the crack to isolate the damaged area from the slab. Perpendicular cuts were then made across the crack axis at measured intervals. The entire crack and cuts were filled with a mixture of dry sand and epoxy resin to stitch the two edges together, providing a solid bond backed by a 3-year warranty, finished with a full charcoal flecked spraycrete coating.
