Commercial floor resurfacing
Commercial floors are judged by how they look, but their performance depends on what happens before the finish is installed. Previous coatings, residue, contamination, wear, cracks and weak concrete can all affect the new system.
This DaniCrete project was approached in sequence: remove unsuitable surface material, mechanically profile the substrate, complete the required repairs, clean the floor and then install the decorative flake system.
Real project sequence

01Existing condition
The original surface carried residue, patchy finishes, worn areas and uneven sections. It needed to be opened up and assessed before any new resin system could be installed.
02Mechanical preparation
The floor was mechanically ground to remove weak material, open the substrate and reveal defects that could not be seen clearly through the previous surface condition.
03Repairs and substrate work
Once exposed, areas requiring attention were repaired and the floor was cleaned so the selected epoxy system could be installed over a properly prepared base.
04Completed system
The finished floor replaced the worn patchy surface with a dense decorative flake system across the main and adjoining commercial areas.
